My Rakuten Review
Do you like to shop? Would you like to earn money while you shop? What if I told you there is no catch? Would you believe me?
I am here to say that I have made almost $900 from Rakuten (formerly eBates).

How does it work?
It’s very simple. To join the Rakuten program you click on this link. Enter your name, address, email and other contact info. By joining you will earn $10 after you spend $25 shopping as you regularly do. The person who refers you makes $25. Repeat the process to earn more!
When you are ready to shop, log into your account on Rakuten.com. Search for a store or company with cash back deals, including vacations and travel. They include: eBay, Amazon, Nike, Walgreens, Macy’s, Groupon to name a few. You can shop online or in person.
Find the store, click on their link and then shop as you normally would. Once the purchase has been made, Rakuten will follow up with adding your rebate into your account. You can see the totals of my purchases this past month in the screen shot below.
I shopped on Amazon for bowling shoes just days ago, so my rebate amount is still pending, but it will be around 10% for the shoes. The other Amazon purchase was for an iPhone case, also pending. Walgreens was for Christmas cards and I’ll be getting back $2.66. I also bought some Jockey underwear that earned me $11.54 on December 1st. December is not over yet and I still have some Christmas shopping to finish, so I am hoping to earn more money this month.
The percentages are different for different stores and purchases. Some days one can earn Double Cash Back and really score. To make things even easier there is an app for Android and iPhones. I like to shop using my mobile device, don’t you?
In the upcoming quarter, “My Big Fat Check” will coming to me mid February and my total now stands at $39.20. Not too bad! With any luck I will have a couple of new referrals and that amount will increase!
